The ruby is the most emotionally charged of all gemstones. It does not ask for attention. It commands it. The house selects only those whose colour has the depth to justify that authority.

The word "ruby" is applied too freely in the trade. The house is more exacting. We seek the pigeon's blood, the pure, vivid red with a hint of blue that defines the finest Burmese stones, and the rich, saturated hues of Mozambique that have earned their own distinction. Anything less remains, in our atelier, merely a red stone.
Each piece in the Ruby Collection was designed around the specific character of its stone, not the other way around.

Pigeon's blood is not a romantic description. It is a precise and demanding standard: a pure, vivid red with a faint blue undertone, present only in the finest Burmese rubies and virtually absent from any synthetic or treated stone. Identifying it requires experience that cannot be acquired quickly.
The house has spent decades building relationships with the sources that produce stones meeting this standard. We accept no substitute, and we do not rush the selection.
